Inner Strength+Peace of Mind= YOU

In life sometimes it's easier to merely go through the motions
but then, sooner or later we will eventually realise that we are missing out on something.

It is better for us to take some time to reflect on what is important or who is important
to us.
For many people out there, they are living with a lot of regrets.

I, for one, do not want to be one of those people.
Let me make mistakes because that is how I will learn to be wiser (I hope).
Have no regrets..

I thank God everyday that He has given me the strength to face up to my own mistakes
and to learn to forgive myself.
The most important thing is that He has given me the strength to face the harsh reality of life. He has helped me to move on regardless whatever problems I may have had before this.

It's extremely difficult to face the fact that we are in fact not infallible but then again, we are only human. To err is human, to forgive divine.

For some people, it is hard for them to face reality because they are still very fragile inside.
I was in this particular state once.
Now, I am a bit stronger and I hope that someday other people will also gain the inner strength as I have and they will all be able to face life
in a calm and accepting way.

I find that all the money in the world can't make us feel happy
and that no matter how many new shoes or clothes we buy
it will never make us feel good about ourselves if we don't love and
appreciate ourselves.

The most invaluable thing we can all hope to acquire is
peace of mind and this
is not sold anywhere. Not even at Harrods.

Whatever good or positive values that I have I would have to thank the Creator
because He is the one that gives us hope.

Without inner strength we will surely crumble at the slightest thing.
We will surely lose our patience and temper over a minor and insignificant thing.

This is why we must all pray that our inner strength, our beliefs are strengthened day by day.
Without it, we will merely be terribly unhappy...

Happiness is a state of mind and the way to be in this state
is for us to accept life's challenges as they come and believe that
we are indeed strong enough to overcome these obstacles.

No matter what beliefs each of us may have
we must always remember that we are put here for a reason.

Strive to be the best in everything.
Be the best daughter, mother, friend that anyone could ever have.

There are too many cynics out there anyway.
Live a little, act a little crazy.
Be an optimist.

Don't wait

Many people I know always wait for things to happen to them.
A very good example is waiting for that perfect person to walk into their lives and sweep them
off their feet.

Hello!

That is not going to happen unless you're starring in your own movie.

The best thing to do is to go on with your life
and take one day at a time.

In fact let's do something crazy..

Why don't you have a GREAT life!

Indulge yourself in something that you love to do
or have always dreamt of doing.
Learn something new like a new language or sport
Learn to get to know yourself and love yourself.
In fact this is the best time to plan your career or build your wealth

Don't be too harsh on yourself when you've made a mistake.

Life is too short to wait around for a Mr Right or a Ms Right to make you happy.

The best thing to do is to make yourself happy and
to surround yourself with people that love and support you!

Once you have learnt to appreciate yourself, the people around you and your own life in general

you will realise that you don't need another person to make you happy.

This is because you are ALREADY happy and fulfilled with your life!
From my observation, people who are already happy and confident
will tend to attract a lot of people.

This in turn will usually lead them to their Mr/Ms Right.

So what I'm trying to say here
is don't wait!
You should lead your life in the way that makes you happy

and then sooner or later if it was meant to be
you will tend to meet a person who will complement your already happy and fulfiling life.

And THEN
you will have that happy ending after all. :-)

Letting go

In life we often face a lot of challenges that overwhelm us.
We will also tend to experience things that will leave an indelible mark within our souls.
In the end, some of us will find that it is difficult to let go of past hurt, regret and disappointment.

I would like to tell you that today is that day where you should try to let go of all these negative elements that have been hovering over you like a black cloud.
When you have reached that stage where you have finally had enough of the heartache
and say that you will forgive those that hurt you
or that you will try your best to forget whoever or whatever that had hurt you
that is when I think you will experience a huge relief.
You will feel lighter and much happier than you've ever been.

All these negative feelings that we have is actually a heavy burden on the soul.
The soul was meant to be pure and when we have let all this negativity soil our soul
we will of course be in a dilemma..

The only solution is to forget it, let it go
Let whatever had hurt you in the past, go..

Then you realise that yes, you can actually smile again
and that whatever hurt you had experienced belongs firmly in the past.
Why keep on thinking about something that hurts you?
Let it go.

You'll be happier that you did.

Encourage others!

When we encourage others we will not only help them but we are also helping ourselves!
The power of encouraging others shouldn't be underestimated.

Isn't it a wondrous thing when you see others' eyes light up and
they begin to see that there is hope at the end of the tunnel after all?
Sometimes I just don't understand others who love to do the opposite and that is
to demotivate others.
That is really a terrible thing to do to anyone
especially to a person who already feels as if the world is against them.

The way I see it, a lot of people normally dwell in their own sorrow
and are actually merely waiting for someone to tell them that everything is
going to be alright.
Of course the reality is that maybe it won't..but then again it is a cruel thing
to dash the hopes of someone..

That is why we should always try to help others because we never know when it could be our turn to be on the receiving end of a kind word or two.
So to everyone out there try to be kind to others, it won't cost you a thing.

Compete with yourself and everyone wins!

Today's post is about envy and how it can be detrimental to your mental health.
Sometimes others are just envious of you and for no reason at all
they are out to get you!
These people are so pathetic and they just don't deserve to live, let alone be in the same country as other mentally stable human beings!
I really detest people who are envious of others but yet do nothing to improve themselves!
Hello! Don't they have a brain? Hmm..maybe they are merely brainless and therefore utterly incapable of simple reasoning!

The only thing I have to say about these people is that they are just so utterly pathetic and deserve our sympathy actually. People like these actually suffer from low bouts of self-esteem.
Yes, they might profess that they are utterly confident of themselves but really...do confident and self-assured people put others down? No!
People who are confident will be happy when those around them are successful!

The only person that everyone needs to compete with is ourselves!
The only competitor that we have is the one staring back at us in the mirror!
We ought to take things step by step. We can't instantly improve ourselves or expect a miraculous change in a blink of an eye!
However the main thing that we've got to remember is that we need to reflect and evaluate
on our strengths and weaknesses.
We identify our strengths so that we can help others to help themselves
whereas we identify our weaknesses so that we can improve on them!

Appreciate ourselves!

To all you women out there who don't realise your true worth,
today's post is dedicated to you.

A lot of women out there suffer from some level of insecurity either it's about their appearance or their intelligence and so forth.
The most crucial thing that every woman needs to remember is that we are all put on this earth by God to do something special with our lives.
When we think about the reason why God put us on this earth
I think that we will realise that we are indeed worthy individuals in our own right.

God has given us the gift of intelligence to do many great things in our life.
For some it could be about going up the corporate ladder while for others it's about creating a warm and comforting home for our family.

What all women need to realise is that we all have our own gifts.
Basically we all have our own strengths such as the gift of empathy, being kind to others and so on.

What we also need to remember is to be kind to ourselves.
Don't be too harsh on ourselves.
So what if we are not all born to be the Miss World of today?
So what if we are not blessed with the intelligence of Einstein?

The key to self-fulfillment and happiness is to be more appreciative and grateful for what we have.
It's a hassle and not to mention emotionally draining when we are stressed on who is more beautiful or whether we have too many wrinkles and grey hairs.
Yes, yes..of course it's not a pretty sight to wake up looking like Mrs. Frankestein.

However what is more important is to make the most of what we have.
Try smiling often, it'll make you a whole lot younger and attractive to others.
Studies have shown that optimistic people (yup, the ones who smile like they're on a toothpaste advertisement) are more attractive and interesting than those who don't smile and constantly whine and moan about everything under the sun!

If you are not happy with yourself, you will make others around suffer too.
As they say, misery loves company.

Do you really want to do that? Rain on everyone's parade?
Answer 'yes' if you've just escaped from an asylum and
'no' if you're sane (like me).

So, the only solution the way I see it
is to begin seeing the good things about ourselves and appreciating ourselves better!

If we are not happy with certain aspects of ourselves and think that it's chipping away at our self-esteem, why don't we do something about it?

The way I see it, it's either we shut up and stop complaining about our unfortunate luck of not being this or not having that
or we eventually get off our lazy behinds and do something about it!

If we choose the second option, isn't it better to start having a plan about achieving it rather than being envious and staring daggers at those who are better than us?

When we have finally achieved our goal, always remember to be grateful that God has given us the strength and patience to work towards our goal and achieve it in the end.

So ladies, start thinking about whether you're going to take any action or not.
To be envious of others and complain incessantly or to finally
do something about it.

Stand up for yourself!

Don't you just hate people who won't stand up for themselves?
I definitely detest this type of people!
Do you know why?
When they are not happy with the outcome, they whine and complain incessantly!
They also expect others to clean up their mess for them!

This whole thing could have been avoided if they just had the guts to stand up for themselves!

Trust me, when you stand up for yourself you will respect yourself in the morning.
You will also earn the respect of others who realise that you are no doormat.

So do yourself and those around you a favour, stand up for yourself!
