Some people just love to complain incessantly!
I just don't understand this kind of people.
It's as if they think life has been so incredibly unfair to them that they are somehow victims of life.
oh, please..
Everyone has problems and we are miserable because of them but it doesn't mean that we have to make others miserable too! God has given us a brain to figure things out. God didn't give it to us for us to just complain about things in our life.
Then, there are those that think they are so perfect that they love to find fault in everyone and everything. Well, if you were born perfect (which none of us are) then, by all means do complain until you are blue in the face.
If you aren't perfect, like the rest of the human population of this world, I strongly suggest that you become more proactive and find a better solution to whatever problem that you have.
Please spare the rest of us from listening to your long boring tirade of how the world is so unfair to lil' ol' you.
Please.

To New Beginnings
It has been some time since I last wrote in this blog and I'm really sorry that I haven't been updating it on a more regular basis.
Anyway, here I am!
Today's topic is about taking stock of any given situation and doing things that will give us hope!
Sometimes it's not easy to begin all over again when you're already so comfortable in your old routine. But things change for a reason and we have to go with the flow...
The way to go about things is to plan what you really want and decide whether it's worth fighting for! A lot of people out there just don't know what they really want in life and can be so wishy-washy about things.
They must realise that life will not wait for them.
Some people think that life will be put on hold just for them and so they delay from doing the inevitable. This will only worsen the situation.
What we must remember is that things happen for a reason. Life has many ups and downs and we must try to bear the many challenges that come our way.
I remember this old saying I read somewhere, "The one constant thing in life is change".
So, we must be prepared for any sudden changes in our lives.
Although it may seem like an uphill task trying to face the changes in our lives, we must remember that sometimes a little bit of change is good for the soul!
A lot of people out there is so afraid to rock the boat that they appear to be trapped in their own little world that is safe..or so it seems..
Trying to control our life, is a good thing but when we think and begin to believe that we and we alone have ultimate control over our destiny...this is when the real trouble begins.
As we know, we merely exert a minimal amount of control in life.
Yes, of course we do have the luxury to plan and choose what to do in our lives but ultimately, we have to realise that it is God that determines what is best for us.
When we have relinquished this sense of control that we have, we will feel as if our burdens are lighter and that whatever that happens is and will always be in our best interest.
Of course, sometimes we don't seem to think this way but after much reflection we will come to accept that whatever happens to us is the best for us.

Positive thinking will save the day!
When life gives us lemons, make lemonade!
Life can be harsh and altogether cruel but we must somehow face life as it is.
It is hard, no doubt about that.
However if we just think hard about why things happen and why our life has turned out the way it is, we will find that the problems we had were meant to make us stronger!
We must remember that life is meant to be lived and that life will inevitably gives us a lot of surprises that are sometimes pleasant and make us happy or...maybe life will shock us, make us sad...
Whatever happens, we must remember that we are not in control. We can plan our life all we like but actually we must remember that it is God Almighty that determines the outcome of whatever we had planned.
It is not easy to relinquish control at times because we tend to forget that it is He alone that controls our fate.
But then that doesn't mean that we don't better ourselves and try to get on with out life.
No, that is not the way!
The best way is to work hard at achieving our goals, become a better person and be happy!
Of course the main thing that we ought to do is to put in the effort to make our life better, pray hard for His blessings and guidance and wait for peace and happiness to finally arrive!
The most important thing to remember is not to give up!! Be positive!

Take a break!
When life and all its ups and downs weighs you down, it is time to take a break!
As a Muslim, we are encouraged to pray to Allah and read the Al-Quran for peace of mind.
Getting away from the hustle and bustle of the world is also a great stress reliever.
Once we have achieved peace of mind, we can do almost anything!
Some people are workaholics and don't relish the thought of taking a break from their work.
This is also one of the reasons this group of people are often struck with stress-related illnesses.
A lot of women often make a lot of sacrifices for their family and others at the expense of their own physical and mental health. This is rather unwise because the woman will often neglect herself.
A wise woman will make sure that she takes care of herself first!
Only when she is happy and is at peace with herself can she really give her best!
So to all you men out there, give your spouse a break! Don't take her for granted or treat her like a maid!
To all you women out there, go out there and pamper yourself and take a well-deserved break!

Reach out!
Sometimes when we are preoccupied with our problems we tend to forget that there are others less fortunate than us.
It is time that we start realising that there are things that we could do to benefit others.
In this modern world, we tend to get caught up in our own lives and forget to help others that are in need.
We think, 'Why me? What effect can I have on the world?'
Well...we don't have to be the President to do that.
In our own way, we can bring lots of meaningful and positive changes to those around us.
In this kiasu world that we live in today, we have become a selfish lot whose aim is only to please ourselves.
What we should strive for is the perfect balance. To help others and to become independent women of the world!
The benefits of helping others are numerous!
One of them is that it makes us feel good!
This is especially true when you see the effects on the person you have helped. It gives a sense of comfort that we have at least done our fair share in making this world a better place.
So, come on! Reach out to those who need our help!

Set a target!
I believe that once a woman sets a certain goal to achieve, her world changes!
This change will also affect others around her and the very way she sees the world!
There could be a multitude of things that could have started this positive change in a woman.
Maybe it was a remark by a concerned friend, a casual observation, a life experience that could have sparked it off.
Whatever the cause, the end result will surely be great coz once a woman realises that she needs to change she will start to plan.
Careful planning will surely help in achieving one's target.
Once a woman sets her sights on something, nothing can stop her!
She will start seeing all the possibilities that life has to offer and if she doesn't have these opportunities thrust upon her, she will find ways to create one!
She will also be excited about what life has to offer and this gives her hope.
Once a person has hope, life seems more wonderful and full of endless possibilities!
This is the very reason that everyone should have goals in their lives!
However make sure the goals you have set out to achieve are realistic and achievable. If not, you're only setting yourself out to be disappointed and this would definitely put a damper on your life.
You can start off by making short-term goals because the results are usually achieved in a shorter time span.
You can also start making long-term goals and you have to remember that the results will only be seen within a few months or even years.
Always remember not to give up hope and always find ways to improve yourself!

Assert your rights, women!
A lot of women out there are unaware of their rights and in the process they tend to get trampled on by others. Now, this is of course something that could have been avoided in the first place.
Women must realise that especially in Islam, they have rights of their own.
Even if the woman is married she still has rights.
I realise that there are a lot of women out there that simply do not assert themselves.
As women, they think that by being assertive they are being seen as aggressive or pushy.
Women have to educate themselves on their rights and change their mindsets about being assertive. So, read all the materials you can get your hands on about women's rights in Islam and in society in general.
Remember, assertive people are seen as confident people.
To all my sisters out there, be assertive!
